Job Title: Band 7 Sonographer Location: Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) Employment Type: Full-Time Agency Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Sonographer to join our dynamic ultrasound team within the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). The successful candidate will be responsible for independently performing a wide range of general medical ultrasound examinations and contributing to high-quality diagnostic services. This is a full-time position, requiring flexibility and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care in line with NHS standards. Previous NHS experience is essential. Key Responsibilities: Independently perform and report on a variety of general medical ultrasound scans including: Abdominal Gynaecological Testicular Soft tissue Groin Ensure high standards of clinical practice in line with national guidelines and Trust protocols. Accurately document and communicate findings using the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team within the CDC and other Trust departments. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in ultrasound technology and procedures. Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review processes. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and students as required.
