HR Operations Specialist

Fixed term contract until 31st December 2026

Location: London, hybrid working available

Salary: up to -80,000 per annum (pro rata)

We''re partnering with an international not-for-profit organisation seeking an experienced HR Operations Specialist to join their People team on a fixed-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of HR operations across the employee lifecycle, providing first line support for US-based and global employees, managing employee relations cases and drive improvements that enhance the employee experience.

Working closely with senior HR leadership, you''ll play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, maintaining compliance, and implementing scalable HR processes within a fast-paced, international environment.

What you''ll be doing

• Acting as a trusted first point of contact for employee and manager queries, delivering a high-quality HR service.
• Managing non-complex employee relations matters and partnering with HR Business Partners on escalated cases.
• Leading the development, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Translating policies into practical, user-friendly processes, guidance and workflows.
• Supporting a US-based employee population and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Managing end-to-end HR operations, including onboarding, benefits administration, employee lifecycle activities and offboarding.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and reduce manual administration.
• Leveraging HR systems to automate workflows, improve data integrity and enhance service delivery.
• Collaborating with Payroll, Finance and wider People teams to ensure seamless operational support.
• Creating engaging communications and training materials to support the successful adoption of new processes and policies.

What we''re looking for

• Proven HR Operations experience gained within a global or international organisation.
• Strong experience supporting US-based employees and a solid understanding of US employment practices, benefits and compliance requirements.
• Experience developing HR policies, procedures and operational frameworks.
• A track record of driving process improvements and implementing best-practice HR operations.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise documentation.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience working with HRIS platforms, HiBob experience would be particularly advantageous.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a high level of attention to detail.
• A professional HR qualification, CIPD L7 qualified or relevant experience in a similar role.
