WebMD/Medscape is looking for a qualified Marketing Director to join the Medscape Global (OUS) and US Education Teams focused on markets worldwide. The Marketing Director will focus on leading the B2B education marketing team to strategize and execute marketing projects in various mediums. Acting as a player/coach, the Marketing Director will work closely with sales colleagues, manage high-level initiatives, and mentor a team of marketers. The director will stay current on industry marketing trends to educate and grow the team''s capabilities.Key Responsibilities:
Manage and mentor a team of marketers based in the US and UKLead the development of Medscape Education''s strategic plan for both Global (OUS) and US initiativesStrategize with sales leadership to support local, regional, and global markets across therapy areasCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on marketing or design requestsManage industry partnerships and presence at industry eventsIdentify opportunities to improve marketing team processesSupport strategic partnerships and government teams with marketing solutionsDevelop core messaging, value propositions, and thought leadership to enhance the Medscape Education brandSkills and Capabilities:
Knowledge of global pharmaceutical or medical education markets; experience in medical affairs is a plusProactive with strong self-directionAbility to engage internal stakeholders to achieve objectivesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented and deadline-focusedStrong project management skillsResourceful with the ability to take projects from idea to execution quicklyStrategic and creative thinker, inquisitive, willing to evaluate and change current processesComfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholdersQualifications:
4-year degree in marketing, business, or related field10+ years of marketing management experience with increasing responsibilityExperience mentoring and managing marketersExperience working closely with sales teams to develop marketing strategiesExperience managing team budgetsAbility to work cooperatively with staff, share ideas, and develop effective responsesAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changesHealthcare education marketing experience is preferred
