Kitchen Assistant - Part Time, Term Time Only
Location: Belsize Park, North West London
Salary: -13.09 per hour (-13,940.85 per year)
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am-2:30pm
Contract: Part time, term time only - 42.60 paid weeks per year, inclusive of holiday entitlement
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join the catering team at a lovely boys'' school in Hampstead, North West London.
Working alongside the Chef Manager, you will help with the smooth day-to-day running of the school kitchen, supporting food preparation, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, and helping serve lunch to the pupils.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting with basic food preparation.
- Helping serve lunch to the pupils.
- Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and tidy.
- Washing up and carrying out general kitchen cleaning duties.
- Supporting the Chef Manager and wider catering team as required.
- Following food hygiene, health and safety standards.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a positive, can-do attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Is reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Has previous kitchen or catering experience, although this is not essential for the right person.
