Salary: £95 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Selly Oak supporting pupils of mixed ages with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The school provides a structured and supportive learning environment where pupils receive personalised support based on their individual learning, communication and behavioural needs.

The school is looking to appoint SEN Teaching Assistants on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide individual and classroom support, helping pupils access learning while managing behaviour effectively and working closely with teaching staff to provide consistent support.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs

• Experience supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs

• Confidence working with pupils across different ages

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
