SEN Teaching Assistant - SEN School in Welwyn Garden City



Position: Full-Time Term Time Only Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and specialist SEN school in Welwyn Garden City.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with a range of needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social/emotional challenges.

• Provide individualised support to students with SEN in and out of the classroom

• Assist with personal care, behaviour management, and emotional regulation where needed

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and therapists to deliver tailored learning

• Support pupils'' development both academically and socially

• Experience working in a SEN setting or with children/young people with additional needs

• A Child Workforce Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - or willingness to apply for one

• A positive, patient, and resilient attitude

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
