Assistant Financial Controller

Assistant Financial Controller required for a hotel located in the Bromley area. The role of Assistant Financial Controller, will contribute to the overall success of the hotel. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be involved in delivering accurate monthly and yearly management accounts and the monthly balance sheet. As Assistant Financial Controller, you will Ideally have worked for at least 5 years within an accounts role and had exposure to all operational areas of a hotel with an emphasis on Front Office and Food and Beverage as you will be reporting on revenue from these areas as well as auditing each month. You will be ambitious, analytical, highly numerate, and accurate with excellent communication skills and a very strong drive for results and profit. Knowledge of the Guestline Sales system is an advantage and experience of Xero is preferable. You will also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) This is a varied role as Assistant Financial Controller with the core tasks including: Daily audit of previous days sales, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Accounts receivable credit checking new clients, issuing of sales invoices, chasing payment for outstanding debt. Accounts payable processing supplier invoices, preparation of BACS payment runs and recording and verifying agents commission claims. Daily bank reconciliations.
