Assistant Financial Controller

This four star hotel are currently looking for a Finance professional to join a small team and play an integral part of the business administrative structure.As Assistant Financial Controller amongst other duties, you will be responsible for:Daily audit of previous days sales, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Accounts receivable
credit checking new clients, issuing of sales invoices, chasing payment for outstanding debt.Accounts payable
processing supplier invoices, preparation of BACS payment runs and recording and verifying agents commission claims.Daily bank reconciliations.Balance sheet reconciliations including prepayments and accruals.Preparation of the quarterly VAT return.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information.Liaising with auditors, banks and other stakeholders.Ideally, you will have worked for at least 5 years within an accounts role and had exposure to all operational areas of a hotel with an emphasis on Front Office and Food and Beverage as you will be reporting on revenue from these areas as well as auditing each month. A similar Retail background would also suit.You will be ambitious, analytical, highly numerate, and accurate with excellent communication skills and a very strong drive for results and profit. Knowledge of the Sales system
Guestline is an advantage and experience of Xero is preferable. You will also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).This is a Monday to Friday role and the hotel can provide onsite parking.
