They are seeking additional FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERS to join their fare collection team looking after their customers predominately in the Essex area, however you may sometimes be expected to travel further to cover customers in other areas. You will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of fare collection systems in various locations across the region. The role will involve working with a variety of different customers from many different sectors so your customer service skills will be as important as your technical expertise. This division supplies ticketing and fare management solutions for public transport operators. Their systems are used across rail, metro, tram and bus networks. A field engineer would typically work on: Ticket vending machines Ticket gates/barriers Smart card and contactless payment systems Station ticket office equipment Networked communications and software interfaces The repairs involve electro/mechanical fault finding as well as some low level network configuration.
