Overview

We are looking for a Senior Carer to join the Additional Learning Support team, providing a wide range of programmes for students with learning difficulties and or disabilities. The role is based at our Watford campus.Responsibilities

Support the delivery of outstanding personalised learning opportunities as part of a specialist team.Assist learners to experience all aspects of college life and help remove potential barriers to learning.Provide personal care support, including hoisting where necessary, and feeding support for learners who require it, including those with feeding tubes.Administer medications where required (including Buccal Midazolam and Epilepsy Medicines) in line with training and college policy.Qualifications and Experience

Qualified and experienced First Aider with substantial care training, including hoisting for personal care.Experience of working with students who have diverse special learning needs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work proactively with teaching teams to support learner assessment and remove barriers to learning.Flexible and able to work well as part of a team to support learners.Disability Confident
