As a

DevOps Engineer , you’ll be instrumental in designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and reproducible research computing environments. You’ll empower researchers to harness the full potential of high-performance computing (HPC), cloud platforms, and AI-ready infrastructures—driving innovation across disciplines.This role blends technical expertise with strategic vision, supporting everything from big data analysis and machine learning to qualitative research and open science initiatives. You’re a technically skilled, forward-thinking problem solver with a passion for research computing and AI. You understand the needs of academic researchers and know how to translate those into robust, scalable digital environments.Experience with HPC, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerisation (Docker, Singularity), and research software tools (MATLAB, R, Python, TensorFlow, NVivo) is essential. Familiarity with data governance, reproducibility frameworks, and AI ethics is highly desirable.
