Managing DirectorAs part of a Senior Leadership Team, there is the strategic requirement to recruit a Managing Director for this specialist events company.Responsibilities

Develop and implement a clear, cohesive strategy for growth, expansion, and overall business success, aligned with long-term goals and board objectives.Oversee the day-to-day operations of all depots, ensuring efficient processes, effective stock management, and strong depot collaboration.Take full PandL ownership, driving commercial performance, cost control, margin improvement, and managing budgetsBuild and maintain a culture of accountability, high performance, and shared values across all sites, creating an accountable management structure.Identify new opportunities for revenue growth, implement innovative solutions to enhance operations, and foster a continuous improvement mindset.Required Expertise and Traits

Proven events management sector sales and commercial leadership experience, ideally in a complex, multi-site people-driven businessStrong understanding of financial principles, cost control, and the ability to drive profitabilityExperience in developing and executing business plansKnowledge of supply chain, logistics, stock management, and how to effectively manage multiple locationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA commercially astute operator capable of both detailed operational management and high-level strategic planning
