Brook Street Social Care is seeking a

reliable, dynamic, and caring Support Worker

to cover maternity period of up to 10 months to provide one-to-one support to a vibrant and fun-loving young adult with complex needs, based in the Mellor area of Stockport.

ABOUT THE INDIVIDUALYou''ll be supporting a young person who lives life to the fullest! Their hobbies include:Drumming and rock musicTrips to the cinema and love for the Marvel UniverseVideo gaming sessionsSkiing, football, and attending football matches

Each day is different, and your support will help them experience it all with confidence and independence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupporting personal care and manual handlingDriving the client''s adapted vehicle (clean UK licence essential)Facilitating college work and therapy sessionsAssisting with community activities and outingsFollowing client-specific training and support plans

SHIFT DETAILSYou''ll be required to work 3-4 shifts per week, on a rotating basis.Current shift pattern:Mon - Wed:

7am - 5pmThu - Sat:

10am - 8pm

PAY and CONTRACTWeekday Rate:

14.69/hrWeekend Rate:

15.91/hrMinimum 30 hours/week

(with extra hours available)Annual Salary:

22,916.40+ (based on minimum contracted hours)

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSFlexibility and availability across shift patternsExcellent punctuality and timekeepingFull clean UK driving licence and confidence driving along rural roadsPhysically able to deliver personal care and manual handlingStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build positive rapport and support therapeutic engagement

PREFERRED EXPERIENCEBackground in personal care and social careHealth and Social Care qualifications (or working towards them)
