Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based on individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCPs

• Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH and learning disabilities

• Create a safe, structured, and stimulating classroom environment

• Use a range of teaching strategies and assistive technologies to meet diverse learning needs

• Track and assess pupil progress, maintaining clear and accurate records

• Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCo, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic support

• Build positive, respectful relationships with pupils, families, and carers

• Contribute to wider school life, including planning interventions, attending review meetings, and engaging in CPD opportunities

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching children with special educational needs, either in a mainstream or specialist setting

• A strong understanding of SEN best practices, EHCP implementation, and inclusive pedagogy

• Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills

• A flexible, nurturing, and resilient approach

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child development

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and inclusive education
